The January transfer window opened on New Year’s day kicking football’s gossip mill into high gear, here we round up the latest transfer rumours.

According to the Daily Star Zinedine Zidane has made contact with Liverpool’s Senegalese striker Sadio Mane, with the Real Madrid boss hoping to lure the forward away from Anfield.

The Daily Express report that Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen has advised the club that he wants to leave in January, after months of transfer rumours suggesting he wanted out. Inter Milan are the latest club to express interest in signing Eriksen joining Manchester United, PSG and Juventus.

Napoli and Ajax are both set to launch January bids for Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen according to the Daily Telegraph.

Lille midfielder Boubakay Soumare is a wanted man with Manchester United and Spurs facing competition from numerous clubs for his signature. The Ligue 1 outfit have received six bids for the player reports the Daily Mail.

West Brom defender Nathan Ferguson has drawn the eye of both Crystal Palace and Spurs and the Daily Mirror suggests the Baggies could potentially be forced to cash in on the 19-year-old.

Solskjaer says Manchester United are looking at transfer options in central midfield, after injuries to Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay.

“It’s playing on our decision making when you have two players out – Paul for a month and Scott for two,” said Solskjaer.

“That will give us less options and we’ve got loads of games, and important games. But still, it’s got to be right and that’s the big point here.”

The Daily Mail report that Spurs are set to table a £30million bid for Leicester full-back Ricardo Pereira.
