Sunday sees a coastal battle, as Cape Town City trek all the way to Durban for a clash against AmaZulu at the King Zwelithini Stadium.
The two sides scalped two big names in their last league outings, with Usuthu handing defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns their first defeat in 28 games, while the Citizens were also victorious against Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs.
They will both be hoping the after-effects of the January transfer window will not have an adverse impact on their chances, as there has been a high-profile departure from either camp.
PSL team news
AmaZulu will be without talismanic Argentine forward, Emiliano Tade, who joined Sundowns on the final day of the transfer window.
Tade left the club having netted five times in the league – second only to Bonginkosi Ntuli in the goal-scoring stakes.
However, an attacking reinforcement has been brought in to fill the gap in the form of offensive midfielder, Talent Chiwapiwa, who came in from Baroka.
Coach Cavin Johnson insisted that the Zimbabwean international was not signed to fill in Tade’s boots.
“Chawapiwa is not a replacement, he’s just joined other exciting players we have in the team, definitely he’s not a replacement,” Johnson added.
“He’s very talented though, and on Saturday he could get his debut.”
Cape Town City also have a big void to fill after midfielder, Ayanda Patosi’s shock move to Iranian outfit, Estheghlal.
Like Tade, the Bafana star was his club’s second leading goal-scorer, also with five league goals this year – one behind Siphelele Mthembu.
