Students from the University of KwaZulu-Natal are angry and they decided to show
their emotions by blocking Hospital Road, in Durban’s South Beach on Thursday
Following the same pattern as two weeks ago, they threw furniture and kitchen
appliances out of their 10 storey residence.
The say they are owed better furniture, and a broken elevator at their residence
should be repaired. When a journalist asked them how it would it help to damage the
little they have, one student offered a flimsy answer, ‘that their anger is prolonged
and at a boiling point.’
Now police have to continue to monitor the situation until they calm down.
The police force will not take any chances because these are the same students,
who two weeks ago burnt bed mattresses and threw bed frames onto the road.
