S. Africa orbits a most advanced nano satellite, ZACube-2.

South Africa now boasts a most advanced nano satellite designed to monitor natural and man-made disasters as well as other emergencies. The ZACube-2, launched into space in December, with the Russian Soyuz Kanopus mission from Siberia. It was launched with several other small satellites from the US, Japan, Spain, and Germany.
